Marble

Ideal for vanities, tub surrounds, table tops, fireplaces and foyers

For thousands of years marble has been the favored stone of masons and fabricators throughout the world. Due to its easier working properties and elegant beauty many marbles are well suited for use on countertops, fireplace facings and hearths, foyers, floors, walls and window sills.

Marble has long been considered to add prestige and an element of sophistication to your home. While marble remains a very popular choice among homeowners is does require some maintenance. Calcite crystal is the basic building block of most marbles. These crystals are vulnerable to exposure of mild acids commonly found in Kitchen and bar areas. Marble lovers should be accepting of the maintenance and patina that can be expected in these situations.

Cleaning marble countertops

For every day cleaning use mild dish soap, warm water and a soft cloth. There are also many spray cleaners available for natural stone use.

Sealing of marble countertops

All marble countertops will be sealed before installation. 3 Guys Granite Inc. is an accredited applicator for STAIN-PROOF Original ™ sealer. STAIN-PROOF Original ™ is an impregnating, invisible and breathable sealer that protects exposed natural stone, tiles, pavers, concrete and grout from damage caused by water, salts and oil-based stains. Treated indoor and outdoor surfaces become easier to clean, maintain, and keep looking good for longer. STAIN-PROOF Original ™ provides lasting protection for natural stone.

If you think that your stone will need to be re-sealed, simply put a few drops of water on your countertop and wait for 15-20 minutes. If you can see that the water has been absorbed into the top it’s time to re-seal. The sealer that we use is estimated to be affective for approximately 15 years.

"The countertop and the sink look absolutely great!   Les does an outstanding job. Good service really makes such a difference. I would recommend 3 Guys Granite in a second. "
